Editorial standards
How a product earns its place.
Our process is designed to recommend fewer, more appropriate products—not to maximize the number of shopping links.
1. Start with the user problem
We define the friction first: lost surface space, poor positioning, unmanaged cables, weak task lighting or another concrete workspace problem.
2. Establish selection criteria
We compare function, dimensions, compatibility, materials, durability signals, footprint and value. We consult manufacturer documentation and current retailer listings.
3. State the tradeoff
Every pick must include a meaningful limitation. We do not use star ratings, fabricated test scores or unsupported superlatives.
4. Label evidence honestly
Hands-on observations are described as such. Otherwise, the guide presents sourced specifications and editorial analysis. Product availability and specifications are rechecked during material updates.
5. Separate editorial and commerce
Affiliate eligibility does not determine ranking or wording. Amazon and other retailers do not review our content before publication.
